Warrant Officer
This is a responsible position with emphasis on providing support to the Municipal Court by serving and clearing outstanding Class “C” misdemeanor warrants and providing security in the Courtroom during court proceedings. Work is performed under minimal supervision in accordance with standardized training methods as set forth through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. Work is accomplished through work assigned by supervisors, self-initiation, and/or calls for help from the community. These assignments are performed with competent, professional work ethics which require the ability to make rational, sound decisions. These decisions require the ability to listen closely, to discern appropriate facts, remember them, write them down in an effective manner, then to act accordingly.

Planner
Under the general direction of the City Manager, the Planner assists in planning, organizing, managing, and providing general direction and oversight for the planning, and code compliance functions and activities for the City of Forest Hill; including current, long-term, and environmental planning activities; assists in coordinating assigned activities with other City departments, divisions, outside agencies, and the public; fosters cooperative working relationships among City departments, divisions, and with intergovernmental and regulatory agencies and various public and private groups; provides highly responsible and complex professional assistance to the City Manager in areas of expertise; and performs related work as required

Police Telecommunicator
Under the general direction of the Police Captain, the Communications Officer receives calls for emergency services and dispatches the appropriate emergency response unit to respond to the call, monitors the prisoner holding facility, monitors a number of data sources, and communicates information to the appropriate parties. City Engineer
Reporting to the City Manager, the City Engineer provides day-to-day leadership to and managerial oversight to assist in design, development, implementation, and analysis of multiple technical and engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the City. The ideal candidate will serve as engineering Project Manager on consultant engineering, architectural design, and plan and plat reviews. The City Engineer designs internal projects which include project layout, review, comments, specification preparation, bidding, and construction. It will be important for the person selected to quickly establish positive, trusting, and productive relationships with the City Council, City Management Team, other City employees, developers and other construction related personnel.

Public Works Technician
This is a part-time position. Hours are 7:00am to 4pm Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.

Reporting to the Public Works Superintendent, the Field Technician provides day-to-day coordination of streets, drainage, grounds.  The ideal candidate will be expected to enter office with a sense of urgency and focus on meeting the high expectations of the City. It will be important for the person selected to quickly establish positive, trusting, and productive relationships with departmental personnel


Event Coordinator
This is a part-time position.
Hours are non-traditional in nature and will vary regularly in accordance with event needs including early mornings, late nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:
Provide support for the special events and festivals to include planning, administrative support, and coordination of select projects, special events, fundraising initiatives, volunteer management activities and any other responsibilities deemed appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.

This position may work directly with city department heads and city staff on a regular basis. The position may also have regular contact with volunteers, business owners, community organizations and businesses, and the general public.
