Continuing the CLIMB Virtual Job Fair

In partnership with, City of Fort Worth, Cornerstone Assistance Network, Goodwill Industries North Central Texas, Redemption Bridge, Reentry First Stop Center for Tarrant County, Tarrant County, Texas Offenders Reentry Initiative (T.O.R.I.), Unlocking Doors and Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, we will be hosting this event. The focus will primarily be on employment opportunities for individuals with challenged backgrounds. However, this event is open to all Job Seekers.

A list of employers and their openings will be listed 72 hours before the event.

This live event will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 9:00am – 2:00pm. CST After the live event has ended, you will still be able to view information about the businesses that are hiring as well as express interest in job openings until Friday, April 22nd at 5:00pm CST.

Court In the Community: The Fort Worth Municipal Court will conduct a Safe Harbor initiative, meaning attendees may visit without fear of arrest for outstanding warrants issues by the Fort Worth Municipal Court. Items to have available as you discuss your situation with staff (this will be conducted virtually via chat during the event): 2 forms of ID, time payment plans, community service/indigence, booked in and booked out paperwork.

Workshops: We will offer a few workshops for those attending the event. Everything will be Virtual, and you will access the Workshops on the Platform once the event is live. The following workshops will be available:

  • LinkedIn: Build Your Brand (conducted by Microsoft): 9am – Join us for a free, virtual one-hour workshop and discover how to rock your LinkedIn profile. Start developing a stellar profile and learn how to grow your professional LinkedIn skills. Build your online brand, engage with your network, and sharpen your resume.
  • MAPS Overview (conducted by WSTC): 10:30 am & 1pm – Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County has an Employment Workshop Series called MAPS. It is a professional development workshop series designed to give you the tools needed for a successful job search. Today’s Workshop will be an overview of the full series and it will provide you with some important tips and tricks you can go out and use right away!
  • Jump Start Your Search with Word (conducted by Microsoft): 10:30 am – Learn the many new features of Word and improve your productivity at home and at work. During this workshop you will learn how to create professional documents using Word to make your life more productive with: Resume Assistant, Dictation, Immersive Reader, Interview tips, Editor, Templates, & Accessibility
  • Rock Your LinkedIn Profile (conducted by Microsoft) – 12noon – During this 1-hour training, you will learn to tell your professional story, connect to opportunities on LinkedIn, and will experience hands-on opportunities to work on your own profile. Develop a stellar LinkedIn profile that represents their skills and accomplishments. Grow their professional skills by staying informed about their industry and business contacts. Build their online brand by showing thoughtful leadership and engaging with their network.

Need to use a computer or want to see what resources are available to you: While all the employers will be on the Virtual Platform we will have access to computers for those who need it as well as Resource Agencies in-person at the Resource Connection Gym located at: 2300 Circle Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76119 during the job fair hours of 9am to 2pm on April 20th.
