COVID-19 Updates & Resources

General Update 3/19/20

COVID-19

With the continued spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we find ourselves in uncharted territory. We are diligently listening to and following the advice of medical and government officials as the situation in our region and across the globe changes daily.

Our hearts go out to everyone whose health and livelihood has been impacted by this pandemic. The safety and well-being of our staff, customers, partners and the community are of the utmost importance to us.

We are taking action to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus while doing all we can to ensure our services remain accessible to all. To that end, we are closing all workforce centers and offices to the public as of 8am on Friday, March 20, 2020. Although our offices are closed, know that we are still working and will still be available by phone and email. Here is what else you can expect from us:

Job Seekers

We have temporarily closed our 6 workforce centers to the public to align with recommendations for small group gatherings and safe social distancing.  Although the buildings are closed, and we will not be seeing customers in person, our staff will be reaching out in other ways to assist you. We know many of you have questions regarding Unemployment Insurance Benefits. Please visit the Texas Workforce Commission website for information on unemployment benefits as well as necessary documents, including a wage claim form.
