Workforce Centers
Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County consists of several Workforce Centers located throughout Tarrant County. The function of the Workforce Centers is to provide our customers with tools and resources that empower and enable them to obtain employment in the career path of their choosing. Services in the centers include professional workshops, career counseling, support services and more. Career Training
Sometimes to get the perfect job you have to upgrade your skills. Each year, we fund training for eligible job seekers who need to fully develop existing skills or create new ones. Virtual and remote learning opportunities are available. Adult Education
Adult Education and Literacy is important to us here in Tarrant County. We believe it’s never too late to get an education and it is our mission to help you succeed. Whether you need a refresher in math/reading/writing, need to get your High School Equivalency, or just need to improve your English skills, we can help. But we don’t stop there, AEL also offers career training courses that help our students get industry recognized certifications and credentials while working on their HSE or English skills. Child Care
Workforce Solutions’ Child Care program provides services needed by low-income families in order to enter and remain in the workforce. Parents who need child care to seek work, attend training or education, are eligible. The boards may also target funds for children of teen parents and for children with disabilities. Child care funds are also used to improve child care quality, and to increase the availability of early childhood development programs and before-school and after-school programs.
