The essential functions of the coarse grinder operator job are to access the equipment, operate a grinder, mix ingredients to specifications, transport supplies, change blades, stand, climb, bend, push, pull, lift, and reach during entire shift and walk up to three miles and be in cold temperatures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets up grinding equipment, loads meat and coarse grinds into blender, blends product in accordance with specifications, reads gauges and dials, adjusts mixing times, records downtime and reasons, uses proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, wears appropriate personal protective equipment, operates pallet jack, follows Tyson/USDA safety and sanitation rules, performs other duties as required or assigned.
Requires the ability give, take and interpret verbal and written instructions, reports, records and other documents; sufficient mathematical skill to perform arithmetic functions using decimals, fractions, multiplication and division; ability to read and understand English and metric weights, measures and measuring instruments, sufficient analytical ability to interpret and use data, check reports, forms, records and comparable record keeping devices and make decisions from several alternatives, pallet jack certification and sufficient physical ability to vertically move product weighing 50-80 lbs. and carry a distance of 15 ft. frequently, horizontally exert force up to 70 lbs., climb steps/ladders, tolerate heights up to 25 ft., exert grip forces of 40 lbs. occasionally, walk up to 3 miles during shift, push/pull containers, sufficient near, far color and depth perception vision to perform operations.

Maintenance Mechanic L5
The basic function of Maintenance Mechanic L5 is to repair/adjust machinery, troubleshoot/repair hydraulic pneumatic systems to keep plant facilities in operation and minimize downtime, walk, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces and at heights up to 50 feet above floor surface in extremes of temperatures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoots pneumatic control systems and pneumatically activated systems; replaces, rebuilds, repairs pneumatic lift cylinders; replaces air line hoses, hoses, fittings, gauges; troubleshoots, repairs replaces and/or rebuilds hydraulic motors, filters, pumps, valves, hoses, and hydraulic lift cylinders; troubleshoots high pressure systems while unit is in operation or down for major repairs; installs heater connections, hydraulic oil coolers, temperature and oil pressure senders; identifies basic problems in electrical control circuitry and repairs or refers to electrician; responsible for keeping work area clean; may perform other various duties on a routine or non-routine basis at the discretion of his/her supervisor or other members of management.
Must have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical; ability to read elementary wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics; five years experience in maintenance equivalent to apprenticeship program; High School diploma or equivalent; ability to use shop mathematics with trade knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic operations and repair; sufficient communication skill to maintain good working relationships; sufficient physical capabilities to vertically move objects weighing up to 100 lbs. from 1″ to 55″ occasionally, up to 60 lbs. from 1″ to 65″ frequently, horizontally move same from 10′ to 75′ without mechanical assistance, exert upper extremity forces of up to 60 lbs. frequently, exert grip forces of 40 lbs. frequently, climb steps at a rate of 50/hr., stand during entire shift, walk up to 4 miles during an 8 hour period, tolerate spaces of 24″ by 24″, sufficient near, far and color vision to perform operations, tolerate heights up to 50′, tolerate extremes of temperatures, both heat and cold.
