The mission of Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County is to ensure the successful delivery of innovative workforce solutions and create economic, educational and developmental opportunities that fully engage all employers and career seekers.

Who We Are

Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County (WSTC) under the direction of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is one of 28 local workforce development boards located throughout the state. This Workforce Development Board serves Tarrant County through a network of partners. The primary goal of WSTC and the 28 local workforce development boards is to respond to the needs of Texas employers and workers through locally designed market-driven workforce development initiatives.

Our Vision:

A well-trained, productive, equitable and fully employed workforce that supports the needs of local employers, promotes regional prosperity and improves quality of life.

Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County:

  • is a Business lead Board of industry, education and community leaders who ensure the quality investment of over $122 million dollars annually.
  • partners with businesses and community groups to prepare the future workforce for in demand jobs and enhance the skills of the current workforce.

  • has received national, state, and local recognition and awards for innovation, quality services, and high performance.

In short, our job is to help Tarrant County residents get the assistance and training they need to obtain employment in a career pathway of their choice. Our services are FREE and are available to all eligible Tarrant County residents. We also provide services to employers to help them find well trained and qualified individuals for their organization.


Our Accomplishments

  • Recipient of the National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) WIOA Trailblazer Award and our nomination, Lockheed Martin was selected at the W.O. Lawton Business Leadership Award.
  • Klein Tools, Inc of Mansfield was selected as the Texas Workforce Solutions Small Employer of the Year by The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
  • Lockheed Martin of Fort Worth was selected as the Texas Workforce Solutions Large Employer of the Year by The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
