Rapid Response

Our “team response” to business layoffs, downsizing, closures, or restructuring can help “soften the blow” and provide a better understanding of associated layoff and unemployment activities. Our Rapid Response team can be at your company before the layoff occurs and provide services that will better prepare your workers for the changes to come.

The Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County Rapid Response Team guarantees confidentiality in all downsizing matters and offers on-site assistance in conjunction with other outplacement services your company may have contracted or requested. The benefit for you is that your workers become well-versed, better informed job seekers ready to find, with our assistance, that new position.

We will initially meet with management and labor representatives of your company to discuss specific services appropriate for your circumstance. Our agenda will include types of services for workers affected by the downsizing (on or off site) and the method in which workers are to be seen for services, for example, “on the clock”, “shifts”, “production schedules”, etc. If you are interested in these services, please email us at rapidresponse@workforcesolutions.net.

Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) for Workers

Has your company’s profits been adversely affected by foreign imports or you had a need to shift part or all of your company’s production to Canada, Mexico or other foreign country? If so, you may qualify for Trade Adjustment Assistance.

What is Trade Adjustment Assistance?

Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) for Workers is a federally funded program, with no costs to employers, that helps workers who are adversely affected by foreign imports or job shifts to a foreign country. Assistance is provided to eligible workers in the form of reemployment services, training, job search, relocation, and support benefits in the form of Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA) and/or Alternative/Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance (ATAA/RTAA) for older workers.

The Trade Adjustment Assistance program seeks to provide adversely affected workers with opportunities to obtain the skills, credentials, resources, and support necessary to become reemployed. To qualify, applicants must be laid off from a job covered under a trade petition certified by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).
