The training provider must be:
- An institution of higher education offering a program that leads to a recognized postsecondary credential.
- Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) approved by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).
- A public or private training provider, including community-based organizations, joint labor-management organizations, and providers of Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) activities under WIOA Title II, provided that AEL educational services are offered concurrently or in combination with occupational skills training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, or other training authorized under WIOA §680.350.
- The provider must be appropriately licensed, regulated, or accredited, or exempt from regulation under the Education Code Chapter 132. Career Schools and Colleges with authorization to operate in Texas.
The training program must be:
- Aligned with one or more listed occupations on the current TWC statewide target occupations list. WSTC supports programs that are listed on its Targeted Occupations List and
- Have an Employer Partnership with Texas businesses.
