Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County and Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce Join Forces to Strengthen Tarrant County’s Workforce and Business Community
Tarrant County, Texas (August 13, 2026) – Workforce Solutions for Tarrant (WSTC) and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce (FWC) will formalize a new strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) designed to strengthen connections between the region’s business community and workforce system.
The partnership brings together two organizations with deep connections to local employers and a shared commitment to ensuring Tarrant County has the talent, resources and opportunities needed for businesses and individuals to thrive.
More than a ceremonial agreement, the MOU establishes a framework for ongoing collaboration in areas that directly impact the region’s workforce and economic competitiveness. By bringing together the workforce system and the business community, the organizations will create additional opportunities to listen, collaborate and act on the issues affecting employers and the region’s workforce.
Through the partnership, WSTC and FWC will collaborate to:
- Connect businesses to resources and opportunities through co-branded outreach, shared promotion and coordinated communications.
- Expand internships and work-based learning opportunities that help students and job seekers gain valuable experience while giving employers opportunities to develop future talent.
- Share data, research and employer insights through surveys and information exchange to better understand workforce challenges and opportunities.
- Strengthen industry engagement through collaboration on task forces, industry councils and other initiatives focused on the needs of local businesses.
- Identify and address emerging workforce needs by combining the organizations’ research, relationships and knowledge of the business community.
- Amplify the impact of workforce initiatives through coordinated communications and storytelling that increase awareness of available resources and opportunities.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to building a stronger workforce ecosystem,” said Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County Executive Director Robert Sturns. “No single organization can meet today’s workforce challenges alone. By listening to employers, sharing knowledge and aligning our efforts, we can help build the talent pipeline our businesses need while creating access to meaningful careers for the individuals who live and work in Tarrant County.”
“Workforce and talent are among the top priorities for employers of every size, from our largest companies to our small businesses,” said Fort Worth Chamber President & CEO Steve Montgomery. “The Chamber has a unique role in bringing the business community to the table, listening to employers and helping align workforce strategies with the needs of our economy. This partnership gives us an important opportunity to turn those connections into action and help ensure Tarrant County businesses have access to the talent they need to grow and succeed.”
