Ready to Work

Free virtual and in-person job seeker series

Have you heard about the Ready to Work program? It is a series of free virtual and in-person events for job seekers in several cities across the U.S. happening through October 8, 2022, and in the Dallas/Fort Worth region from October 6th through 8th.

What is Ready to Work? It brings Indeed’s suite of resources directly to job seekers with virtual and in-person support, tools and tips to build the skills needed on the journey to better work. Online, job seekers will find new resources to help prepare for their job search- including the Job Progressions Tool which is powered by Lightcast! In events in Detroit, DC and Chicago, attendees have most enjoyed the personalized resume reviews and job search consultations, the professional setup for headshots, and the chance to meet people from local and national organizations that are dedicated to improving the job search process.

Job search support, resume review, interesting speaker sessions, interview prep and headshots will be available through the Ready to Work Coalition hosted by Indeed in Grand Prairie / DFW from October 6th – 8th from 9-6 daily. One-on-one sessions with Indeed job search specialists will be available all weekend. Thursday presentations include managing conflict in the workplace (11:00), an interview workshop (12:30), a conversation with the Rework America Alliance and local women’s self-sufficiency focused non-profit, WiNGS Dallas (3:00), and a keynote from Opal Lee- the “Grandmother of Juneteenth.”

If you need a Lyft, use the code RTWDFW for a free local ride to or from the event
